DARK CITY Send This Review to a Friend
DARK CITY, directed by Alex Proyas and starring Rufus Sewell, Keifer Sutherland, Jennifer Connelly, and William Hurt, has strikingly creative visuals but the story makes little sense. However, the look alone may turn this into a cult film THE WEDDING SINGER is lightweight but pleasant and graced with appealing performances by Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore…Actor John Hurt is outstanding in LOVE AND DEATH ON LONG ISLAND, an amusing and tender story about a British homosexual writer who connives to meet and seduce a young American movie idol, nicely portrayed by Jason Priestley…Barry Levinson's SPHERE is the most boring science-fiction film in years, an unbelievably muddled underwater tale that deserves to be left at the ocean bottom.
