THE RAGE: CARRIE 2 Send This Review to a Friend
What can you do in a "Carrie" sequel that wasn't done in the original? Not much, except build to the inevitable moment when the latest student blessed, or cursed, with telekinesis wreaks the sort of havoc experienced the last time around. Given the limitations, writer Rafael Moreu and director Katt Shea have come up with a serviceable if routine venture.
Amy Irving lends class as a suspicious guidance counselor 20 years after she survived the prom night disaster. Emily Bergl does well enough as the student whose best friend becomes victim to abusive male students, as does she. We know there'll be hell to pay. It's just a matter of waiting, and at times the wait seems very long. A United Artists release.
