The Film Society of Lincoln Center's Walter Reade Theater will focus on "The New Faces of Swedish Cinema" in a special series Nov. 1-7. The program includes seven features and 11 shorts that reflect some of the creative cinema activity in Sweden over the past decade. One of the films being shown is "Jalla! Jalla!," which was a big hit in Sweden. Directed by Josef Fares, the film is a spirited romantic comedy about a Lebanese man working in Sweden whose family has chosen a wife for him, but he is in love with a Swedish young woman.
